Though the month is through, it wouldn't be fair to revamp my blog and not do my monthly music recommendations! To be fair, a couple of the songs I will list in here I was definitely jamming out to this month or before June, but shhh, it can be our little secret! I can't wait to share these awesome songs with you, and if you have any recommendations for me don't hesitate to email me or comment down below! I love hearing new music, and I hope y'all do too! As always, the titles of the songs are linked to YouTube videos of the songs, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for extra song recommendations in my ! 1. "Jesus Only You" By london GatchThis song y'all... has been my GO TO. Every time I get in my car, start my shower, or even just sitting in my room, this is the first song I play. This song, is beautiful, empowering, and really makes me feel Jesus even stronger than I do normally. It's been my favorite song to worship to at all hours of the day, and it's the first thing to play when I read my Bible. 1000/10 would recommend. 2. "Butterflies" by gabbie hannaTalk about A JAM. Sad, yet upbeat and oh so good. Although I didn't link the music video (but I did now!), it's stunning (but figured for first impressions like I do, I just linked a lyric video for the title!) and it means a ton to the song. This song, as heartbreaking as the message is, the song and how it's generally constructed is GORGEOUS. 3. "Easier" by 5sosY'all KNOW I love 5 Seconds of Summer because... how could you not?! But THIS NEW ERA??? Where's my wig? It could not be found. GUYS. I am so ready for this new album, you have no idea. But in the meantime, I will just be listening to this song and watching the music video on repeat until we are blessed with new music. 4. "Bounce Back" by Little MixDid someone say SUMMER ANTHEM??? Oh my word y'all, I love Little Mix, and just like 5SOS, this new era is definitely going to be a favorite of mine. They are bouncing back indeed, into the music industry, my speakers, and literally every single one of my playlists. If you just need some good ol' fashion dance-y music, this is my gift to you. 5. "Share Your address" by Ben PlattOkay, so Ben Platt, aka BROADWAY KING (known for the smash show Dear Evan Hansen) released an album a couple of months ago and saved the music industry. To say that album has been on repeat is an actual understatement. If you want a new album to binge, PLEASE for the love of cheese listen to it. You will not regret it, every single song is perfect. This song in particular is one of the upbeat ones on the album, and it's so stinking good guys. 6. "Be my heart" by London gatchI know, I know. I already included a song by the amazing London Gatch. But I couldn't NOT include this song. Honestly, I was fighting myself to not include every song from this album, because it's incredible. (If you would be interested in a list of my favorite worship songs, let me know! I would be so happy to share some of my favorite Christian music with you all!) But in real talk, this album... STUNNING. I love it so much, and every single song draws me to God in a stunning way. I 100/10 recommend! 7. "AFTER YOU" by Meghan TraniorOkay... I know. I said I wouldn't include anymore Meghan Trainor. Or did I? You know what, oh well. Anyway, she released an EP earlier this year and when I first heard this song, I was shocked. I could honestly not believe it was Meghan Trainor. The lyrical content of this song alone was enough to make me fall in love with it, that and the fact that she paired it with stripped down vocals and harmonies galore. I really really like this song, and it's a good song for anyone and everyone. 8. "Innocent" by Danny PadillaDanny Padilla is a YouTuber who I've been watching for years. He started off just doing covers, but then he started releasing his own music. Although I listened to this song when it came out in 2016, he just released an album that had this gem on it. I forgot how much I loved it. Although I haven't delved fully into that album yet, I'm sure I will love the rest of his music on it! 9. "it's not u, it's me" by Bea MillerHoly cheddar, friends. This song is a certified bop. My pal and I discovered this song on accident, but we both agree that it was fate that we found this song. Not only is her voice beautifully haunting, it's also got such a good beat that makes you want to get up and dance. Immediately. 10. "THe most" by Miley CyrusTalk about goosebumps. When Miley Cyrus first came back into the music industry with her EP "SHE IS COMING" (which is super good btw! I recommend giving it a listen even though not all the songs are my favorite), I was excited to say the least. I was also really inspired by her idea to release 3 EP's that illustrate her struggles and journey through the last couple of years. With "SHE IS COMING", she talks about her past-self, and her struggles with addictions and how she felt trapped by them. This song, however, was for her now husband Liam Hemsworth and her family. In it, she asks why she hurts them so much, and then answers herself with the fact that they love her the most. Thinking about Liam and Miley's relationship that was dragged a lot into the public eye, it's easy to see why this song (plus the VOCALS!) can give you chills easily.
