Monthly Music: July Jams

It's that time again! In this segment of Monthly Music, I am going to be sharing with you my top 10 sings from this month! Although the month isn't over yet, I honestly cannot stop playing these songs. Remember that all the titles of the songs (when clicked) will take you to the song, and hopefully you'll jam out yourself! Keep your eyes peeled for additional songs in my descriptions! Hope y'all enjoy, and let's get started!

​1. "Back to you" - Selena Gomez

This has seriously been my FAVORITE song this month! From the hit Netflix series "13 Reasons Why" (which Selena Gomez produces!), this song means SO much to not only the series, but to people everywhere. It is truly something everyone can relate to at one point or another in their lives!! It is DEFINITELY something you need to hear! 

2. "You Belong With Me" - Taylor Swift

Even though this song came out 10 YEARS AGO, I honestly forgot how flipping amazing this song is. This is actually my go-to "jam in my car" song! 20/10 would recommend bopping to this song with your best buds!

3. "Sober" - Demi lovato

Now, this song is on the more emotional side. This was a recent release from Demi Lovato; this song was her announcement that she was no longer sober from her reoccurring alcohol addiction. It's incredibly moving that she put herself out there this way, and a beautiful testimony to herself, her family, friends, and fans. 

4. "Praying" - cover by corvyx

I LOVE this song (originally by Kesha as her comeback song after 3 years with no new music) in general, but I tend to have a weak spot for male vocalists covering emotional songs. No idea why, but I have watched several compilations of them! I actually just recently discovered this incredible vocalist, and EXTRA SALTY that I haven't heard of him sooner. His voice... Y'ALL. Angelic doesn't even begin to describe. If you'd like your ears to blessed, go ahead and click on the link and fast forward to about 2:47.... you're welcome. 

​5."P.Y.T (Pretty Young thing)" - Michael jackson

This is another one of those songs... Even though it was released YEARS ago, 36 of them to be exact, it will NEVER grow old. Not for me at least! Not only is this song seriously such a feel good anthem, but it's so catchy you can't help but to sing or dance along!

6. "Better Now" - Post malone

I know this does not seem like the type of music I would listen to, but I was for real when I said I listen to anything and everything! Real talk, my father actually showed me this song. Yep, young generation, I didn't even hear this song first. I am actually really glad he did though, because I haven't been able to stop listening to this catchy beat! 

7. "Found/Tonight" - Lin Manuel-Miranda & Ben Platt

HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL, guys, this is a banger. When this mashup originally came out, it was literally the only thing I listened to for at least a week or two (apart from The Greatest Showman soundtrack, my one true love). Lin Manuel-Miranda, who wrote and starred in the smash Broadway hit "Hamilton", and Ben Platt, who starred in the hit show "Dear Evan Hansen" (both of which I HIGHLY recommend), collaborate on this song with two of their shows biggest hits, and it's breathtaking. Even if you don't like Broadway, THIS is worth your time. 

8. "Old church Choir" - Zach Williams

This is another one of my all time favorite worship type songs. This feel-good Jesus BOP is seriously so peppy. Plus Zach Williams has THE PERFECT VOICE for not only this song, but literally anything. 

​9. "O'Lord" - Lauren Daigle

This song is LEGIT one of those "I'm lifting my hands to Jesus" ANTHEMS! I cannot get enough of Lauren Daigle, who again, has the most perfect voice for literally anything at all. I always play this... anywhere if I'm honest!

10. "No good Deed" - Idinia Menzel and the original broadway cast of "wicked"

Even though I can probably quote at least 99.9% of Wicked, I've recently dived back in to religiously listening to the soundtrack, mainly because I'm seeing it live in September! Because of this, I have developed a new love for certain songs, one of them being "No Good Deed". Especially the "Fiyero....FIYEROOOOOOOO" (Broadway nerds will get it!).
